Travis Kelce Found Awesome Way to Repurpose Old Multimillion Dollar Home | SI.com

The future hall of fame Kansas City Chiefs tight end has made a generous multi-million dollar donation to the local Kansas City community. Kelce purchased a $3.3 million dollar house and plans to turn the home into a transitional living facility for homeless youth, Foster Love announced in March.

According to Foster Love, the home includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms, game room, study area, garden, and patio among its features.

Kelce, who has spent his entire career with Kansas City, has been involved in multiple philanthropic endeavors for both Kansas City and his hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He created the Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation in 2015, which aims to help underserved youth and hosts annual fundraisers in Kansas City and Cleveland. He has also supported and funded initiatives helping Kansas City youth explore careers in STEM, establishing after school activities, providing shelter to women, children, and pets affected by domestic violence along with multiple other causes.

A Look Back at Every Seventh-Round Draft Pick in Chiefs History | The Mothership

– Thirty-four of Kansas City’s 63 seventh-round draft picks went on to appear in a game for the Chiefs.

– Tailback Isiah Pacheco, despite being the 22nd running back selected in 2022, went on to record the second-most rushing yards for any rookie seventh-round pick in league history. Only Philadelphia Eagles’ tailback Johnny Johnson (926 in 1990) tallied more during his rookie campaign. Overall, Pacheco has recorded 2,528 scrimmage yards during his three seasons with the Chiefs.

– Cornerback Jaylen Watson has appeared in 38 games (14 starts) for Kansas City over the last three seasons.

The Saga Continues: Will Anyone Want This NFL Free Agent Gem Elijah Moore? | Last Word on Sports

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs could be in dire need of a wide receiver, depending on the situation of Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice. The two wideouts found themselves in recent legal troubles, and if a potential suspension comes, the Chiefs could need a new pass catcher. Veteran Marquise Brown may be returning, but it’s for a one-year deal. Elijah Moore might not be the primary wideout in this group, but he could prove to be a consistent weapon in a better system.

Chiefs player who had near-death experience last year celebrated special birthday | The Kansas City Star

Defensive end B.J. Thompson didn’t appear in a game last season with the Chiefs, but you won’t find anyone who was happier to be with the team than him.

Heck, Thompson was happy simply to be alive.

Last June, Thompson was in a special-teams meeting at the Chiefs facility when he suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. Kicker Harrison Butker found assistant trainers Julie Frymyer and David Glover, who ran to help Thompson.

Head trainer Rick Burkholder and two more assistant trainers, Tiffany Morton and Evan Craft, soon arrived at the meeting room. Ditto for Dr. J.P Darche. An AED was used to re-start Thompson’s heart and saved his life.

2025 NFL Draft: Ideal top two picks for every team | NFL.com

Kansas City Chiefs

Round 1: No. 31 overall: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

Round 2: No. 63 overall: Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State

The Chiefs’ inability to stop Philadelphia’s front four in the Super Bowl will likely force them to draft another tackle despite signing Jaylon Moore (who started 12 games in four years in San Francisco while playing behind Trent Williams) to a sizable two-year contract. Ersery’s 6-6, 331-pound frame is exactly what Andy Reid likes in his outside blockers. Re-signing Mike Pennel and bringing in Jerry Tillery on a one-year deal help add depth to the team’s defensive interior, but Farmer’s active feet could earn him a starting nod next to Chris Jones sooner than later.

3 Chiefs players who (maybe) won’t make the 53-man roster | Arrowhead Addict

Offensive lineman Wanya Morris

Morris was given a chance to start at left tackle for the Chiefs full-time beginning in the second game of last year. He was, in a word, terrible. To make matters worse, he regressed as the season wore on, ending with a Week 13 performance against the Las Vegas Raiders where he allowed eight total pressures.

Morris’s snap count went up last year over his rookie season of 2023, but his efficiency got much worse. There is certainly no guarantee that the team can count on him moving forward. If, as expected, Kansas City addresses its offensive line need in the draft, Chiefs fans might have seen the end of Morris.

If NFL Bans the Tush Push, It Will Only Make Eagles More Motivated | Althon Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles can’t lose no matter how the owners vote next month on the proposal to ban the Tush Push. Either they get to keep their nearly unstoppable short-yardage play, or they get to use the potential ban as a rallying cry to galvanize the team as they try to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

The Eagles looked like the hungrier team against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. It’s not easy to keep that momentum going. Guys read their own headlines and become complacent, or they become dissatisfied with their contracts or roles. That’s why the Chiefs repeating in 2022 and ’23 was such a huge accomplishment. The league appears ready to step in and provide enough bulletin board material to keep Philadelphia going well into next season.

Source: Raiders, QB Geno Smith reach two-year, $75M extension | ESPN

HENDERSON, Nev. — The Las Vegas Raiders and new quarterback Geno Smith have agreed to a two-year, $75 million extension, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The contract has incentives that could push the total to $85.5 million and includes $66.5 million in guaranteed money, the source said.

Smith, 34, is now contractually tied to Las Vegas through the 2027 season. He had one year and $31 million left on the $75 million contract he signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2023.

The Raiders traded a 2025 third-round pick to the Seahawks to acquire Smith last month.

Patriots trading QB Joe Milton to Cowboys for Day 3 draft pick | NFL.com

The Dallas Cowboys have a new backup quarterback for Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys acquired Joe Milton III and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick (No. 217) in a trade with the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2025 fifth-rounder (No. 171), NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday, per sources informed of the situation.

The Patriots later officially announced the trade.

Cardinals, TE Trey McBride agree to four-year, $76 million extension | NFL.com

Tight end Trey McBride has agreed to an extension with Arizona that runs through the 2029 season, the team announced on Thursday. The deal is worth $76 million over four years, with $43 million guaranteed, of which $32.5 million is fully guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The extension also adds $19 million in new average per year money, per Rapoport.

At $76 million over four years, the one-time Pro Bowler vaults up the earning leaderboard at tight end to No. 1, exceeding the market rate set by Kansas City’s Travis Kelce ($17.125 million per year) annually and San Francisco’s George Kittle at total value ($75 million). His salary will nearly quadruple from 2025 to 2026, going from $5.786 million this season to $19 million per year starting in 2026.

How this 2025 NFL Draft hopeful is looking to turn his calling into reality | The Athletic

No player in the 2025 NFL Draft class has a story like that of Esa Pole, the quick and powerful left tackle from Washington State who’s made it to pro football’s doorstep despite never having played a snap in high school. At his pro day, the now 6-6, 323-pound Pole (who did not allow a sack in 850 snaps last season) put up 23 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Five years ago, the first time he ever touched a weight, he could barely push 185 — once.

A year and a half before that first practice in spring of 2021 at Chabot (Calif.) College, Pole was directionless. His plan to pursue basketball after graduating in 2019 from Mt. Eden High in 2019 had fallen through, as no one needed a 6-6 center. Once a bright student with limitless potential, Esa found himself out of school and in a hole, all before his 20th birthday.

He needed a miracle worker. That’s where football — and Pole’s older brother, Toni — enters the story.
