Fans Make Clear Demand After Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s Aaron Judge Statement

Aaron Judge is truly the gift that keeps on giving for the New York Yankees. The superstar outfielder came through for his team anew on Thursday night, as New York successfully avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Bronx. After going just 1-for-8 in the first two games of the series, the two-time American League Most Valuable Player woke up from his slumber and went 3-for-5 with a home run in the 9-7 New York win to close out the interleague series against Arizona.

Judge went to work early, setting the tone in favor of New York in the first inning when he blasted a 394-foot three-run home run. In the fourth frame, he helped expand the Yankees’ lead to four runs with an RBI single. In the same inning, second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. added to the Yankees’ offense with a two-run home run that plated himself and Judge.

Following the game, the 27-year-old Chisholm gushed over Judge’s strong start to the 2025 MLB campaign.

“He’s showing everyone why he’s the MVP and one of the best baseball players to ever play,” Chisholm said of Judge, who has five home runs and 15 RBIs to go with a 1.648 OPS through six games (h/t Yankees Videos). “Think of last year – he hit 58 [home runs] and had a bad first month. Imagine right now what he’s about to do. I’m just trying to keep up” “He’s showing everyone why he’s the MVP and one of the best baseball players to ever play. “Jazz and Judge are the dynamic duo the Yankees need to dominate-let’s lock in Chisholm for the long haul!,” said a fan on X. Another one said: “Extend this man ASAP @Yankees” Demanded another social media user: “Extend this man at once.” “can’t wait to eventually extend jazz,” a different X user posted. That sentiment was echoed by another fan: “Extend Jazz.”

Via a different poster: “With all the extensions this week around baseball……where’s his at @Yankees ?” The Yankees acquired Chisholm in 2024 via a trade with the Miami Marlins in exchange for Agustin Ramirez, Jared Serna and Abrahan Ramirez. Chisholm and New York avoided arbitration in 2025 by striking a one-year, $5.85 million back in January. Chisholm, however, has one more arbitration-eligible year left, which can be avoided again with a new contract. Through six games in the regular season, Chisholm has slashed .292/.370/.792 with four home runs and eight RBIs.
