Travis Kelce’s Reported Plan for 2025 NFL Season Has Major Taylor Swift Change Read more at:

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has made it abundantly clear that he does not want to end his career on a low note. This would have been the case if the All-Pro tight end had decided to retire following the Chiefs’ heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, which is also one of the biggest factors behind Kelce’s decision to play on for at least one more year.

At this point, Kelce is determined to be back with a vengeance in 2025. The 35-year-old wants to put all distractions aside, and apparently, this includes his relationship with his girlfriend Taylor Swift. According to a new report by Us Weekly, Kelce wants his romance with Swift to take a backseat behind his football — at least when it comes to what the fans and the media will focus on this coming season.

“Travis wants to take [a breather] from the public eye,” Us Weekly’s source revealed. “He was working too much last year, and he didn’t play as well as he wanted. “… He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.”

It does not sound like Kelce will necessarily be prioritizing his career over his relationship. The report also does not indicate that the Chiefs star considers it to be a distraction.

However, what Kelce appears to want is to let his game do the talking. He wants his performances on the field to be the main focus of attention over his personal life, and seems intent on doing everything he can to ensure that this is the case. This major change is easier said than done, considering how much the media has covered his romance with Swift — arguably the biggest star on the planet right now, — over the past couple of seasons.

At the end of the day, while the upcoming season may very well be Kelce’s final playing year, he has no intention of turning it into an emotional farewell tour. Being the intense competitor that he is, the 10-time Pro Bowler wants to be at his very best for the Chiefs in 2025 as he potentially ends his career by winning his fourth Super Bowl title.
