Cowboys Reveal CeeDee Lamb Injury Decision

FRISCO – CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder injury, sustained in the Week 9 loss at Atlanta, wasn’t going to be a problem for this week’s visit from the Philadelphia Eagles. That was Lamb’s own prediction, and the Monday MRI established that he has a chance to be correct.

Dak Prescott injured his hamstring and is now an IR consideration. The health of Lamb is the next priority, and with this 3-5 season hanging by a thread, the MRI on his shoulder mattered. “I’ll be out there,” Lamb said defiantly about Dallas’ Week 10 game against the rival Philadelphia. “I’ll be playing.” Lamb finished his day in Atlanta with eight catches, cringing in pain on several of them, for 47 yards. But he isn’t using his injury as an excuse for a relative lack of production from the $34 million wideout.

It hurts, no need to short-change it,” Lamb said. “But that’s no excuse for my performance. I could have played better overall, and I’ll be better. I’m not going to put so much emphasis on it as far as me catching the ball because overall, that’s my job, but yeah, it definitely hurt.” Said coach Mike McCarthy: “Just knowing CeeDee, I don’t see him not playing (Sunday). But that’s why you do the testing.”

The Monday MRI revealed a right AC joint sprain in the shoulder. Related: Cowboys’ Move of Dak Being Considered? Lamb’s attempts to play through the pain were admirable in a losing cause.
