Florida Cheerleaders Turn Heads With Sweet 16 Photos

The cheerleaders and dance team for the Florida Gators are getting attention at the NCAA tournament.

The Florida Gators are officially heading to the Final Four. On March 29, the team pulled off an 84-79 comeback victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders, earning the Gators a spot in next weekend’s finals.

Following the game, Gators head coach Todd Golden gushed over his team, stating, “It’s absolutely incredible. It’s a direct result of the work that our players have done all year and the work my staff has done.”

He added, “They’ve all, to a man, been incredibly consistent, unselfish and worked their tail off. We don’t do this without the collective work of our program. But I’m incredibly proud to be able to be here in year three. And to get Florida back to the Final Four is something that’s incredibly special.”

Even though Texas isn’t going to the Final Four, after the game, head coach Grant McCasland said he was very proud of his team.

“I’m thankful,” McCasland said. “I’m just thankful that this group of guys, I think, did get a taste and did get to see what it means to really love your teammates the way that I think God tells us to give everything we have. And I mean it.”

The cheerleaders for the Florida Gators were out in full force at both the team’s Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games.

On March 29, the squad took to social media to share a photo of themselves celebrating their Sweet 16 win over Maryland, calling it an “amazing” win the caption. The Instagram photo shows both the cheerleaders and the team’s dance squad, the Dazzlers, in a celebratory pose on the court.

“We’re cheering for you and them,” one follower stated. “Go Gators,” another enthusiastically said.

The Dazzlers are also sharing photos from the weekend. In an Instagram post shared at the opening of the Sweet 16, two of the dancers can be seen cheering, with their long hair swaying side-to-side, with big smiles on their faces. “Still dancing,” the post read.
