Braves’ Ronald Acuña, Spencer Strider play ugly role in Atlanta’s terrible start to season | Sporting News

Deadspin | Braves' Ronald Acuna, Spencer Strider unlikely to be ready for '25 Opening Day

The Atlanta Braves haven’t looked like themselves so far.

They’re 0-3 heading into a Sunday Night Baseball clash with the San Diego Padres.

Part of the reason? They’re missing their superstars.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is expected to be out until May, while Spencer Strider hasn’t returned from injury yet, either.

At least the Strider news is good: He made his first rehab start on Saturday.

It’s hard to replace guys who would contend for MVP and Cy Young Awards if healthy.

The Braves need to settle the ship enough to still be in contention when they have their full allotment of talent yet.
