BREAKING: 49ers QB Brock Purdy speaks out about fire sale offseason in San Francisco

49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy Could Hold Out this Offseason

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has watched his team get rid of many of their stalwarts this offseason.

Purdy doesn’t feel about it the way you might think.

Instead of being distraught, Purdy is excited.

“It’s like, how can we take this group of guys every year, who don’t know each other, and you’ve got to find a way to love each other, and then go accomplish the thing?” Purdy told NFL.com. “And so, being a quarterback and doing that is, to me, what it’s all about. I love that.”

Good thing Purdy loves it, because it could be tough. Deebo Samuel now plays for the Washington Commanders. Jordan Mason joined the Minnesota Vikings.

Purdy won’t have Brandon Aiyuk at the start of the 2025 season either, due to injury.

With a possible contract extension waiting in the weeds, Purdy will likely have to lead the 49ers with his own ability at an all-time high.

Purdy has always been capable, but this would be one of his tougher tests yet.
