Ezekiel Elliott in Hot Water With Cowboys Over ‘Disciplinary’ Drama

The Dallas Cowboys made a bevy of roster moves this offseason. Among the most noteworthy was the decision to reunite with their former star running back, Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys selected Elliot out of Ohio State University with the 4th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

But Zeke’s return to Dallas has already included some drama. According to ESPN NFL Insider Todd Archer, Elliott will not make the trip to Atlanta with the team as they prepare to take on the Falcons.

Archer said that the Cowboys running back will be a healthy scratch because of “disciplinary reasons.”

“Ezekiel Elliott will not be active vs. Atlanta and will not make the trip with the Cowboys because of disciplinary reasons, according to a source. First time he is a healthy scratch in a non-season finale in his career,” Archer tweeted on November 2.

LeBron James Gets Honest on Jerry Jones

In November The Washington Post published a story   about Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones that included a 1957 photo of him as one of several teenagers at North Little Rock (Arkansas) High School watching white classmates denying access to six Black students who’d enrolled in the former whites-only institution.

Following the release, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James expressed his disappointment in the overall coverage of the story.

“But it seems like to me that the whole Jerry Jones situation, photo — and I know it was years and years ago, and we all make mistakes, I get it — but it seems like it’s just been buried under, like, ‘Oh, it happened. OK, we just move on.’ And I was just kind of disappointed,” James said.

“And I feel like as a Black man — as a Black athlete, as someone with power and a platform — when we do something wrong or something that people don’t agree with, it’s on every single tabloid, every single news coverage, it’s on the bottom ticker. It’s asked about every single day.”
