The Kansas City Chiefs are heading into the offseason after their third straight Super Bowl appearance. Kansas City capped off the season with a 17-3 record, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX. Before falling to the Eagles, the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans in the playoffs.
After another season of hoisting the AFC Championship trophy, the Chiefs will look to revamp their roster to prepare for another Super Bowl run. Before the March 12 free agency period begins, Curt Popejoy at Yahoo Sports predicted that the Chiefs will add Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris.
Last season, Harris posted six touchdowns and 1,043 yards, recording the fourth straight 1,000-yard season of his career. Harris was originally drafted by the Steelers with the No. 24 overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
He’s served as Pittsburgh’s top running back since his rookie season while sharing a few snaps with rising Steelers star Jaylen Warren. A move to Kansas City for Harris would add him to the roster of a budding dynasty. The Chiefs have won two of the last three Super Bowls and five of the last six AFC Championships, behind the success of head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
