During the 2024 season injuries plagued the Braves organization one after another. It only took a week of Spring Training for injury to impact the Braves’ roster yet again.

Braves’ infielder Nacho Alvarez Jr. looks ready on first base during a 2024 matchup against the Reds in Truist Park.
The Braves later posted on X informing fans and media that the third baseman was removed from the game due to discomfort in his left wrist.
Alvarez was replaced on 3rd base by José Devers for the remainder of the game. The Braves ended up narrowly defeating the Nationals 4-3.
Less than 48 hours later good news about Alvarez’s condition emerged. MLB.com’s Mark Bowman posted on X early on March 1 highlighting that Alvarez’s condition was improving and that the infielder claimed he was going to be able to return to play within the next week.
The young infielder, who will turn 22 this year currently is one of the top prospects for the Braves this season, despite his rocky MLB debut in the 2024 season. Alvarez has appeared in three Spring Training games this season going 0-6 with one walk and two strikeouts. He likely won’t make the Opening Day roster but is a developing candidate to help the Braves replace Orlando Arcia if he remains healthy.f
