Kansas City capped off the postseason with a 40-22 loss to the Eagles, after defeating the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans in the earlier playoff rounds. After a disappointing finish to the Chiefs’ season, Kansas City’s official social media account made an announcement about the coaching staff.

On Monday, the Chiefs announced the addition of Matt House, senior defensive assistant and Chris Orr, defensive quality control coach. We have made two new additions to our coaching staff, Matt House and Chris Orr.

He previously spent time with the Chiefs, serving as the linebackers coach in Kansas City from 2019 to 2021.

House has also been involved with a few other NFL franchises during his coaching career including, the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers and St. Louis Rams. Orr made the move to Kansas City after serving as the Jackson State Tigers’ linebackers coach in 2024. He also previously worked on the Wisconsin Badgers’ staff as the director of player development.

Orr’s role with the Chiefs marks his first coaching stint in the NFL, after spending most of his career at the collegiate level.
