Taylor Swift and NFL fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the announcement that Taylor will headline a Super Bowl halftime show. Unfortunately, there is a Kansas City Chiefs reason as to why Taylor won’t perform at the Super Bowl. Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce is going from strength to strength, but so are the Chiefs, who make a habit of making the Super Bowl, and there lies the problem for Taylor.
A source spoke with the Daily Mail, and as it turns out, as long as Travis continues playing in the NFL, Taylor won’t perform at the Super Bowl. “She doesn’t want to do it now until Travis is fully retired as she would like to be at the game supporting him rather than performing at it,” the source said. “When she eventually performs at it, she wants all her loved ones to be able to experience it. And as long as Travis is in the league, the Chiefs have a chance to be in the game, so she is going to wait to do it till he is officially done.”
With Kelce weighing up his NFL future in the coming weeks, if he does make the decision to retire, then that could pave the way for Swift to perform. We understand why Taylor hasn’t done it, and wanting her family to see her perform is a big part of what she does. Until Kelce retires, Swift won’t be doing any Super Bowl halftime shows.
