Atlanta Braves News: First Spring Training game, fan perception, more - Battery Power

Well according to the poll we ran, y’all feel pretty good about this team entering the season, and you should! The Braves have a ton of talent on this big league roster, with the only glaring holes at shortstop and the bottom of the bullpen. Even the bullpen has a ton of options, we just have to see how many turn out to be major league viable or better for this year. The Braves have every ability to have a special year and look like an absolute juggernaut if things break right, even if they don’t have quite the gaudy projections that the Dodgers do. This is a very talented team and everyone seems to be coming back healthy. Let’s hope everyone stays healthy and progresses well as we march towards Opening Day.

Chris Sale looked like himself in his first Spring Training outing, pitching two scoreless, as Jarred Kelenic also showed some promise.

We polled Braves fans from this site and they (y’all) are feeling pretty good about the team going into this season.

MLB News

Nolan Arenado remains unwilling to waive his no-trade clause under currently proposed conditions to be traded to the Astros, even as discussions were revived with the signing for Alex Bregman in Boston.

Evan Phillips confirmed that he will at least start the season unavailable and on the IL, with a shoulder issue.

The potential sale of the Twins just became much murkier, as the primary expected buyers are reportedly no longer interested.
