Chiefs Star Chris Jones Breaks Silence on Viral NFL Combine Mishap

Chris Jones is one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs currently. Just like everyone else, though, he had to work his way up the ranks, which included taking part in the NFL draft combine back in 2016 before he made the jump to the pros. Over the past few years, Jones has emerged as a vital piece of Kansas City’s defense, helping them make it to their third straight Super Bowl this season. However, the Chiefs weren’t able to come out on top against the Philadelphia Eagles, leading to a sobering admission from Jones in the aftermath of the game.

“We have been privileged in the last three years, always competing at the highest level and winning championships. Losing at this stage hurts, but it’s part of the game,” Jones said of K.C.’s loss to Philly in Super Bowl LIX. Jones wasn’t always the star he is nowadays, as he had to work hard to achieve success with the Chiefs. That included putting in a strong performance at draft combine, although Jones endured a strange incident along the way. During his 40-yard dash, Jones appeared to be having some difficulties with his shorts. While he made it 40 yards, he ended up falling and accidentally exposing himself after he crossed the finish line. On Saturday, with the clip of this incident resurfacing, Jones dropped a hilarious six-word message.

“Still trying to figure this out,” Jones said in response to the video in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. After capping their season with a loss in the Super Bowl, you can bet Jones and Kansas City will be intent on putting together a bounce-back campaign when they return to action in 2025.
