Photo of Adolis Garcia turns into meme

Texas Rangers slugger Adolis Garcia has become a victim of photoshop.

Garcia told reporters at the start of spring training on Wednesday that his goal for the upcoming season is to hit 50 home runs. The outfielder said he has worked on improving his bat speed in hopes of accomplishing the feat.

Garcia is known for being one of the most muscular players in baseball, so fans had some fun with him saying he is aiming to belt 50 home runs. One Houston sports fan shared a photo on social media that was doctored to show Garcia with a massive head.

The image was clearly photoshopped to make Garcia’s head look bigger. That did not stop Garcia from becoming a meme.

An increase in head size is one of the side effects of steroid use. We saw that with Barry Bonds and other athletes who were linked to performance-enhancing drugs. There has been no evidence that Garcia uses PEDs, but fans have made plenty of jokes about it in the past.

Garcia owned the Astros in the playoffs two years ago, which is one reason why fans in Houston are always more than happy to troll him.

Garcia hit 25 home runs in 154 games last season. He had a career-high 39 homers in 2023. It would be a huge leap for him to get to 50.
