“So far it’s similar to most spring trainings I have been a part of. But there is a real excitement in this clubhouse as far as what this team is capable of doing and I think we’re all just kind of looking forward to getting in the games and seeing where we lie,” said Andrew Kittredge.

The Orioles Manager is Brandon Hyde and over the past two seasons he’s coached up Baltimore to a record of 192-132. The Orioles have a formidable pitching staff. The Orioles are looking for good hitters during live batting practice this spring.

“Just getting guys in game shape. Today was our first day of practicing team fundamentals. We have a lot of live batting practice still happening. I just want to see guys just continue to get their timing down as much as possible before games start,” said Brandon Hyde.

The Baltimore Orioles host the Pittsburgh Pirates in their spring training baseball season opener Feb. 22 at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota.
