TRADE BREAKING: Cowboys Predicted To Land Five-Time Pro Bowl WR

It was a disappointing year for the Dallas Cowboys, who put together a 7-10 record and missed the playoffs for the first time since missing out again in 2020.

What really threw a wrench in their season was starting quarterback Dak Prescott’s limitation to just eight games after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 9 that sidelined him the rest of the season.

However, he’s set to return for Dallas in 2025, marking what will be the first season of his four-year $240 million extension.

Ian Valentino of the 33rd Team even thinks he’ll have some extra help, predicting the Cowboys will sign wide receiver Amari Cooper in free agency.

It’s an interesting signing because Cooper is coming off a down year, appearing in 14 games (eight for the Buffalo Bills and six for the Cleveland Browns), in which he accumulated 44 receptions, 547 yards, and four touchdowns.

A bounce-back year in 2025 could be in the works, though, because he’s been very consistent since joining the NFL in 2015, appearing in five Pro Bowls and having at least 1,000 receiving yards in seven of his 10 seasons.

Cooper also wouldn’t need to carry the burden of being the team’s top target, as that’s a role wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has held every year since 2021.

This would also be a bit of a homecoming for Cooper, who Dallas acquired from the Raiders in 2018, and he stayed with the Cowboys until the end of 2021. In that time, he appeared in 56 games, reeling in 292 receptions, 3,893 yards and 27 touchdowns.

If they do want him back, it will cost them, as Spotrac places his market value at $14.2 million annually.
