BREAKING: 49ers George Kittle reacts to USA beating Canada in hockey: “Don’t boo the anthem! USA 3-1 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸”

The season is over. And the players are finding solace in some time away from football. After the disastrous 2024 season, the 49ers TE George Kittle tuned in to watch the NHL 4-Nations Face-Off tournament, where the USA faced Canada at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada. And the reactions during the game weren’t very American.

In fact, the crowd in attendance also booed the US National anthem, forcing the NFL athlete to vent his anger on social media. He posted a video of the game with the message, “Don’t boo the anthem! USA 3-1” with 4 emojis of the American flag. But after the victory, the US team moved into the championship game.

The tight end was there to support the Swedish player Filip Forsberg. George Kittle became friends with him because of his wife, Claire, who is a friend of Forsberg’s wife, Erin Alvey.

Except for the time when the crowd booed the US national anthem, the 49ers TE had a pretty great time. Sitting in the Swedish national jersey with fake yellow and blue hair, he said, “Super happy that I’m here. What an amazing atmosphere.” It became even more great with the victory of the USA team over the Canadian team by 3-1. It was a great game.

George Kittle excited by USA team victory

Jake Guentzel was the hero of the victory, with 2 goals, while Dylan Larkin contributed with a goal and an assist. Connor Hellebuyck made 25 saves for the U.S. It was their 2nd win in the tournament, after a 6-1 win against Finland on February 13.

The 8-day tournament started on February 12 with the Canada-Sweden game which the former won. With 2 wins, the American team has entered the championship game scheduled on Thursday, February 20 in TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts.

For viewers who want to enjoy the game from home, they can watch it on ESPN, TNT, and ABC. It can also be streamed on Fubo for free. About their rivals, Canada, Finland, and Sweden have 2 points. So, they have already cruised ahead of their rivals. However, George Kittle wasn’t excited just about the gameplay.

Fans were also surprised with 3 fights that broke out in the first nine seconds of the game. Clearly, the adrenaline was running high. Expect more players like JJ Watt and Jason Kelce to watch the finals after playing hockey during their childhood. It’s understandable. Players are enjoying some time away from the game.
