The Eagles offense came alive when the performance mattered most against an old NFC East rival in the Washington Commanders, flying out of the gates on a 60-yard touchdown run by Saquon Barkley. The Philly defense also forced two turnovers and came up with big stops in the second half to help the Birds back to the Super Bowl after a disappointing 2024 season. Barkley finished with 118 yards and three touchdown runs, and Jalen Hurts managed the offense with excellence and efficiency, completing 20 of 28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown while adding three rushing scores of his own.

The Chiefs angle for their record third straight Super Bowl title with a team that had to learn how to grind through the 2024 schedule and into the 2025 playoffs. For the fourth straight time in the postseason, Kansas City defeated the Buffalo Bills, this time in the AFC Championship Game in another matchup that came down to the wire. The Chiefs once again made plays when they counted and scored the winning points on a 35-yard field goal by Harrison Butker with 3:33 remaining. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes put together his usual high-level playoff performance with 245 passing yards and a touchdown and 11 carries for 43 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
