BREAKING NEWS: Braves Tabbed ‘Likely Landing Spot’ For $100 Million Dodgers World Series Star Read more at:

Jack Flaherty was a huge piece of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series victory in 2024. Flaherty was able to hold down the Dodgers’ pitching rotation while the team battled through a lot of different injuries. However, with the righty becoming a free agent, Los Angeles opted to sign Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki instead of him. With that in mind, it seems pretty clear that the 29-year-old will need to look for his reported $100 million contract elsewhere. Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller recently listed the Atlanta Braves as one of the likely landing spots for the aforementioned Flaherty.

“It has been almost three months since Atlanta traded Jorge Soler’s contract and declined Travis d’Arnaud’s club option for 2025, and Atlanta has done a highly unusual amount of nothing since then,” Miller wrote. “With a payroll already scraping up against $200M, the Braves don’t have much spending room, but we’ve been expecting them to make at least one semi-big splash. “Re-signing Max Fried or signing Willy Adames always seemed like pipe dreams, but getting Jack Flaherty on a relatively short-term deal could be their big move.”

The Braves need to replace the production from Charlie Morton and Max Fried. While this is a steep task, acquiring Flaherty would mitigate the damage for the time being.

Flaherty is a step down from Fried but a step up from Morton. If Atlanta can land him on a contract worth around $100 million over four years, it would be a move that pushes the team in the right direction.
