The Yankees have been busy this offseason in bolstering their pitching staff, but it appears their work is not done.

According to Brendan Kuty of The Athletic, the team’s biggest priority appears to be adding a left-handed reliever. Tim Hill, Brooks Raley and Andrew Chafin are all names reportedly being discussed.

Hill signed with the Yankees in June of the 2024 season and posted career-low 2.05 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 35 appearances in the regular season. He’s entering his age-35 season, so the Yankees could likely bring him back at a good price.

Raley, who has been with the Mets since December 2022, underwent Tommy John surgery in May. The 36-year-old made eight appearances for the Mets in 2024 before he landed on the injured list. New York had picked up his $6.5 million option last offseason.

Chafin split the 2024 season between the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers, posting a 3.51 ERA with a 1.473 WHIP across the two clubs. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported last month that the Yankees had interest in the left-hander.
