CONFIRM: CeeDee Lamb out for remainder of NFL season, Dallas Cowboys announce

CeeDee Lamb has been one of the best and most consistent wide receivers in the NFL since entering the league. The former Oklahoma WR is in the midst of another All-Pro-caliber season but unfortunately will not get to complete it.

CeeDee Lamb ruled out for remainder of 2024 season

Lamb originally injured his shoulder back in Week 9.

However, the wideout played through the injury and continued producing. With the Cowboys out of the playoff picture, though, the team has reportedly decided to shut the WR down for the final 2 games.

With additional scans being taken recently, Lamb’s injury has reportedly progressed. No surgery is expected and the team predicts Lamb will be fully healthy this offseason.

Lamb’s 2024 season will end with the WR catching 101 passes for 1,194 yards and 6 touchdowns. Ahead of Week 17, Lamb is tied for 2nd in the NFL in catches this season.

The star wideout was drafted by the Cowboys out of Oklahoma in the 2020 NFL Draft. Since entering the NFL, Lamb has been remarkably healthy, having never played in fewer than 16 games until this season. Lamb only needed 15 more catches over the final 2 games of this season to surpass Michael Thomas’ record for most catches over a player’s first 5 seasons.

As a Sooner, Lamb caught 173 passes for 3,292 yards and 32 TDs over 3 seasons. The WR was a consensus All-American and First-team All-Big 12 selection in 2019. Lamb is 2nd in school history in all-time receiving TDs and 3rd in all-time receiving yards.

Without Lamb, the Cowboys will end the regular season with divisional matchups against the Eagles and Commanders.
