Patrick Mahomes Admits ‘Embarrassing’ Moment That ‘Sparked’ Chiefs 2024 Super Bowl Win Read more at:

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to become the first team in NFL history to win a Super Bowl in three straight years. Of course, winning two in a row is no small feat, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed a key moment during last season that helped them beat the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s Super Bowl.

Last year, they ended the season 11-6, with their final loss coming on Christmas Day to the Las Vegas Raiders. However, in Mahomes’ eyes, it may have been a blessing in disguise. “That was a pretty embarrassing loss, and you know everybody was watching because it’s Christmas Day, and so obviously it sparked us to win the Super Bowl, so it ended up working out,” he said.

The #Chiefs are ready to redeem themselves after an “embarrassing loss” last Christmas. Mahomes credits that game as what sparked them to win the Super Bowl.

Their one loss is also far from embarrassing, as it came to the Buffalo Bills, who are 12-3 and a threat for the No. 1 seed.

However, the Chiefs once again play on Christmas Day this year, but this time it’s against the Houston Texans, who at 9-6 are a formidable opponent, and a loss wouldn’t be as hard to imagine.
