One player who has been banged up but hasn’t missed a game is CeeDee Lamb. After injuring the AC joint in his shoulder weeks ago, Lamb, as professionals do, has continued to fight through the pain to help the offense continue its positive momentum.

Not only that but he’s also been the locker room leader in Dak Prescott’s absence. So when we add those two things together, it appears that No. 88 is taking his game on and off the field to new heights, and he’s doing it while injured.

“It goes to show his love for the game, his love for his teammates, and just his mindset to battle through so much,” Brandin Cooks said on Lamb battling through injury. “At the end of the day, the guy is special, there’s a reason why he’s one of the best in the league. But I think what people don’t understand and don’t see is just his will to want to go out there and win and play for his team.”

With the season Dallas is having, when Lamb injured his shoulder, he had every opportunity to tap out, get it fixed, which would have likely seen his year end.

Lamb has been determined to be the team’s shining light both on and off the field, and his not just making up the numbers but being a focal point of the offense while injured is a great example for the younger players on the roster.

There is no waving of the white flag from Lamb or the Cowboys despite the season being one to forget for a host of reasons. Why? Because of the will to compete overpowers everything else, and we are seeing that manifest itself on the field when watching No. 88.
