The Kansas City Chiefs are 13-1 and have the best record in the NFL through 15 weeks of the regular season. Despite having several struggles on offense, especially from quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce not being as dominant as we are used to seeing, the Chiefs have been able to come away with wins almost every week. Kelce has been rumored to be considering retirement for the last couple of seasons, and now those rumors are starting to heat up again after his latest statement.

Travis Kelce Retiring?

Kelce was talking about his game this past week against the Cleveland Browns on his podcast “New Heights,” and he seemed to have the tone that it might have been his last game in the city.

It felt so surreal. It kinda felt like I was giving it one last hoorah before I’m done because I’ve only played there twice in 12 years… It was a special day for me personally.

Kelce has cemented himself as one of the best tight ends to ever play the sport, amounting to 12,037 receiving yards and 76 touchdowns. Fans and analysts have speculated his retirement to come soon, especially after it was revealed in 2023 that he and pop star Taylor Swift started dating. The tight end seems like he is beginning to settle down, and this statement has led many to speculate that this could be his last season in the NFL.
