The San Francisco 49ers have a tough situation on their hands with De’Vondre Campbell.

According to multiple reports, the veteran linebacker refused to enter the game vs. the Los Angeles Rams.

With that in mind, Niners legend Jerry Rice chimed in and shared his thoughts on the situation.

Talking on 95.7 The Game, the legendary wide receiver stated that he wouldn’t have waited until after the game to address the situation, adding that he would’ve dealt with it right then and there.

“It would have been addressed right there on the football field not in the locker room. If you’re not ready to go with your team… I think it would have got dealt with on the sidelines,” he said.

It’ll be crucial for the Niners to make a statement here.

They may have sent the wrong message in the locker room after constantly caving into their star players’ high demands, and now all players might feel like they can get away with anything.

The Niners have suffered from a lot of injuries this season, and their chances of making the playoffs are quite slim.

That can happen even to the best teams in history.

What cannot happen is to lose organizational values and a winning culture.

They will have to address it by any means necessary, as they simply cannot allow this situation to snowball any further.
