San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and his wife Olivia Culpo shared a special announcement during the NFL offseason.

Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers are just about ready to start preparing for the upcoming NFL season. The 49ers will begin organized team activities at the end of May, marking the first step toward a run at championship.

This is an important year for Christian McCaffrey as he looks to continue performing at an elite level. Last season was another outstanding one for the 29-year-old running back.

He stayed healthy for all 17 games, rushing for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 924 receiving yards and seven more scores through the air. He earned AP Comeback Player of the Year, his fourth career Pro Bowl selection and his third All-Pro honor.

As McCaffrey prepares for his 10th NFL season and his fifth as a member of the 49ers, he and his wife Olivia Culpo shared a personal announcement on Instagram.

McCaffrey and Culpo have been married for nearly two years, officially tying the knot in June 2024. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Colette, in July 2025.

On Friday, they announced in a joint Instagram post that their family is growing again, revealing that Olivia is pregnant with their second child. The post featured photos of the family with Colette, their dog and ultrasound images confirming the news. The caption read, “Best birthday gift  Baby #2 coming soon .”

As McCaffrey prepares to become a father again, he is also entering a pivotal point in his career on the field. San Francisco expects to be dominant again this season, but the goal is not just regular-season success.

The 49ers want a deep playoff run that ends with a Super Bowl title. That remains the one accomplishment McCaffrey has not yet secured, and time is no longer on his side. He has two years remaining on his two-year, $38 million extension, making this window especially important.

With fatherhood expanding and championship aspirations still driving him, McCaffrey enters 2026 with more motivation than ever.
