On Tuesday night, the Houston Astros will continue their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers (at home) in Texas.

They are coming off an 8-3 loss on Monday.

Dustin Harris did not play in the game.

Astros Let Go Of 3-Year MLB Player

Ahead of Monday’s game, the Astros announced that they had designated Harris for assignment.

Chandler Rome of The Athletic wrote: “Nick Allen and Zach Dezenzo are active. Dustin Harris was DFAd and Yainer Diaz goes to the injured list with a left oblique strain.”

Harris had been batting .226 with seven hits, four RBI’s, four runs and two stolen bases in 11 games for the Astros.

He started out his season with the Chicago White Sox (appearing in six games).

Before the Astros and White Sox, Harris had spent the first two seasons of his MLB career with the Texas Rangers.

Over 38 career games, the 26-year-old is batting .225 with 20 hits, two home runs, ten RBI’s, 12 runs and five stolen bases.

The Astros are off to a tough start to the 2026 season with a 14-22 record in 36 games.

They are 8-9 in the 17 games they have played at home.

Following the Dodgers, the Astros will play their next series on Friday when they visit the Cincinnati Reds in Ohio.
