Keon Coleman has been a big topic of discussion for many months now amongst Bills fans. The former second round pick back in 2024 has not been able to live up to expectations since being drafted. While he has had moments of spark, there’s been more disappointment than success and it has been very frustrating for fans and the Bills themselves.

Many people thought that when Sean McDermott was fired back in January, that Coleman’s time in Buffalo would be coming to an end. However, with the Bills promoting Joe Brady from offensive coordinator who has worked closely with Coleman the last two seasons, it looked like Coleman’s future in Buffalo would be safe, for now.

With the draft being over, general manager Brandon Beane went onto WGR550 to speak about a variety of topics, and Coleman once again came up in conversation. However, Beane’s comments are showing fans that Coleman is definitely here to stay for atleast 2026.

Keon Coleman gets vote of confidence from Brandon Beane

Per Sal Capaccio, Beane had said that teams “reached out to the Bills about Keon Coleman between the Combine and owner’s meeting, but we shut those down.

We’ve hit the reset button withi him and hopefully the fanbase and everyone is behind him. I think his best year is yet to come in 2026.” said Beane.

Coleman is getting a fresh change and now it will be up to him to capitalize on him. Even though Coleman still hasn’t been as productive on the field as fans were hoping for, he still has 8 touchdowns in the last two seasons which is impressive considering that he dealt with a wrist injury 2024, and would then be a healthy scratch due to maturity concerns.

No one is expecting Coleman to become the go-to wide receiver for Josh Allen as the Bills traded for D.J. Moore this offseason. In addition, drafting Skyler Bell out of UConn could present competition for Coleman this season and potentially even beyond that. Bell is a very talented player who could easily get more meaningful snaps than Coleman.

With this vote of confidence from Beane about Coleman, the hope is that Coleman can take a step forward and become an impactful player. If he is able to grow as a player, the Bills could be setting themselves up for a big passing attack led by Josh Allen. Imagine an offense where you have Allen, Moore, and a productive Coleman to go with James Cook and the rushing attack…the league wouldn’t know how to stop Buffalo’s offense.
