The Dallas Cowboys are making moves at wide receiver after the NFL draft.

The Dallas Cowboys have already agreed to terms with several new players following the NFL draft. Signing undrafted free agents is always a competitive process as the Cowboys battle other NFL teams for overlooked players.

The Cowboys have landed commitments from several new playmakers, including a former SEC wideout. Dallas has agreed to terms with Georgia Southern wide receiver Camden Brown who previously played three seasons at Auburn.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Nick Harris revealed the Cowboys’ first six undrafted free agent signings (including Brown). Dallas agreed to terms with SMU wide receiver Jordan Hudson, TCU tight end DJ Rogers, Baylor tight end Michael Trigg, Virginia Tech defensive tackle Kelvin Gilliam and Tulsa running back Dominic Richardson.

New Cowboys WR Camden Brown Won Awards After Posting 1,079 Receiving Yards & 14 TDs in 2025

Brown is coming off an impressive season at Georgia Southern. The wideout posted 65 receptions for 1,079 yards and 14 touchdowns. Brown was utilized sparingly during his three seasons at Auburn.

The playmaker’s performance in 2025 led to several honors, including first-team All-Sun Belt Conference as well as being named the Sunbelt’s Newcomer of the Year. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein gave Brown a priority free agent grade heading into the draft.

“After three unproductive years at Auburn, Brown put his impressive ball skills on display during a very productive season at Georgia Southern,” Zierlein detailed in his pre-draft profile on Brown. “He lacks top-end speed and attention to detail as a route-runner. He does, however, have access to good initial burst and wins when contested at an elite rate.

“Brown displays ideal ball skills and body control on fades and deep throws. He catches with good hand extension. Despite his strong 2025 season at Georgia Southern, Brown’s lack of production against SEC competition during his time at Auburn could create doubt for some teams.”

Brown faces a tall task in competing for a roster spot. As for other Cowboys receivers, the focus continues to be on George Pickens and how the playmaker will respond to potentially playing on the franchise tag.

During the NFL draft, the Cowboys attempted to make it clear that the team has no plans to trade Pickens.

“We have no intention of moving George,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones noted following the first round, per DallasCowboys.com’s Patrik Walker.

“We’re fired up about him signing his [tag], because it means he’s ready to come in here and get to work. … We have zero intention of moving [him].”

The Cowboys Focused Heavily on Improving an Underwhelming Defense During the NFL Draft

The Cowboys focused heavily on defense during the NFL draft but did manage to select one wideout in the seventh round. Dallas snagged East Carolina receiver Anthony Smith in the seventh round with the No. 218 overall selection.

The Cowboys selected a defender in five of their first six picks. Landing safety Caleb Downs and pass rusher Malachi Lawrence jump started the Cowboys’ draft efforts to improve the team’s defense, clearly the weakest unit in 2025.
