🚨 BREAKING: Masataka Has Left Alex Cora, Red Sox With An Impossible Decision! Fans are on edge as the Red Sox are forced to confront a major crossroads—how will they handle this unexpected turn of events? Could this decision impact the future of the team and their chances for a successful season? 👇👇

The Boston Red Sox outfield will be something to keep an eye on this season, given how much talent the team has there.

It’s safe to say that if a starter gets injured, the Red Sox are in good shape. They have Masataka Yoshida, Jarren Duran, Roman Anthony, Wilyer Abreu and Ceddanne Rafaela. All five are capable of being everyday players, but there are only three outfield spots and a designated hitter spot.

Of the five, Yoshida came into spring training at the most risk of losing playing time. Rafaela and Abreu will start almost every game in center field and right field. Duran and Anthony are expected to share left field and the designated hitter spot. However, the problem, if it can even be called that, is that all five have had great springs.

Yoshida’s strong offseason has given Alex Cora a very tough decision to make. Yoshida is not known as a great defender, but he played solid defense in the World Baseball Classic. He slashed .375/.444/.813 in the World Baseball Classic, which has made it tough to keep him out of the lineup right now.

So, who does Yoshida take playing time from? The answer is not simple because none of the other outfielders have given Cora any reason to take them out of the lineup either. Duran has been great this spring and looked great against left-handed pitching in the World Baseball Classic. An All-Tournament Team selection in the World Baseball Classic highlighted Anthony’s spring.

Rafaela is the best defensive center fielder in baseball and will play there every day. Abreu plays right field, which is Yoshida’s spot in the outfield as well, but Abreu is a much better defender and has earned the right to be in the lineup.
