Nov. 4: Phillies make flurry of roster moves
The club announced that right-handers Yunior Marte, Luis Ortiz and Freddy Tarnok, left-hander Kolby Allard and infielder Rodolfo Castro cleared waivers and were outrighted to become free agents. The team also announced it acquired right-hander Devin Sweet from Detroit for cash considerations. He has been placed on the 40-man roster. Right-hander John McMillon was claimed off waivers from the Marlins. Right-hander Alan Rangel was selected to the 40-man roster.

Nov. 4: Phillies make no qualifying offers
The Phillies did not extend the qualifying offer to two eligible free agents: right-handers Jeff Hoffman and Spencer Turnbull. A qualifying offer this offseason is worth $21.05 million, and the deadline to make an offer was at 5 p.m. ET Monday. Right-hander Carlos Estévez was not eligible to receive a qualifying offer because he did not spend the entire season with the Phillies.

Nov. 1: UTIL Scott Kingery traded to to Angels for cash
Kingery signed a six-year, $24 million contract extension with the Phillies in March 2018, before he’d ever played a game in the big leagues. In 325 games over parts of five seasons with Philadelphia, the 30-year-old Kingery batted .228 with a .667 OPS and 0.5 WAR, according to Baseball Reference.
