On Friday afternoon, the Chicago Cubs are playing the Cleveland Guardians in Ohio.
Cade Horton made his second start of the year.
He had been coming off a game where he got the win, letting up just four hits in 6.1 innings.

UPDATE: The Chicago Cubs have announced the diagnosis on Cade Horton.
The Cubs wrote: “Cade Horton exited today’s game with right forearm discomfort.”
Unfortunately, Horton got injured during Friday’s game.
He had to exit in the second inning.

Horton And The Cubs
The 24-year-old was the seventh pick in the 2022 MLB Draft.
He is coming off a fantastic rookie year where he went 11-4 with a 2.67 ERA in 23 games.

As for the Cubs, they came into the day with a 3-3 record in their first six games of the 2026 MLB season.
They are coming off a year where they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2025 NLDS.
The Cubs last won a World Series in 2016.
