Tee Higgins, wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, is speculated to be a free agent in 2025 and is already attracting plenty of attention. Higgins is currently on a $21.816 million contract with the Bengals, and this number will surely be bumped by the New England Patriots who are desperate for a performing wide receiver.

Currently, the New England Patriots are fourth in the AFC East after winning only three games and losing ten so far. In their previous matchup, the Patriots lost to the Indianapolis Colts with a tight score. This season, Higgins has managed 45 receptions for the Bengals for 581 yards, along with five scores.

“Here’s an easy guess simply from reading the tea leaves: The Patriots are going to be all in on Tee Higgins. They’ve shown an interest in established receivers, and Higgins is the best free agent. I expect them to offer him the moon. The question is whether he says yes or no.” according to a report from The Athletic. (Source: The Athletic)

While him being a free agent is definitely going to bring him a lot more money, and also help him bag other teams like the Patriots, it is still a question as to whether Higgins will be ready to part ways with the Cincinnati Bengals in the first place. At the same time, getting to another team might let Higgins perform with another great quarterback, which will be an overall upgrade for the squad.

Tee Higgins Grinning About Lukewarm Performance Against Cowboys

On another note, Tee Higgins was not so happy about his performance in the game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cincinnati Bengals, in that game, managed to win with a final score of 27-20 after QB Joe Burrow went for 369 yards, completing 33 passes out of 44 attempts. Burrow managed a trio of touchdowns while managing a solo interception in that game.

Chase Brown took charge of the team’s rushing with 14 carries for 58 yards, while Ja’Marr Chase defended with 14 receptions for 177 yards, scoring twice against the Cowboys. Meanwhile, Higgins managed to put up a pair of receptions for a total of 23 yards in that game. After not being so impressed with his own game, Higgins took to social media to say that he is aware of his lukewarm performance.

The wide receiver has not had a solid season this year and was unfortunately struggling for a major part with injuries. However, Higgins has massive potential and will only do better in the upcoming NFL season with him moving to free agency.
