On Saturday, the Atlanta Braves are playing the Boston Red Sox for their latest spring training game.

They have three more exhibition games before their Opening Day showdown with the Kansas City Royals on March 27.

On Saturday, the Braves announced the signing of two players.

The Braves wrote: “The #Braves today signed INFs Kyle Farmer and Dominic Smith to one-year, split contracts for the 2026 season.”

Farmer is coming off a season where he appeared in 97 games for the Colorado Rockies.

He batted .227 with eight home runs, 31 RBI’s and 24 runs.

Farmer has played nine seasons for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, Cincinnati Reds (and Rockies).

Over 804 games, he is batting .247 with 63 home runs, 285 RBI’s and 245 runs.

Braves Going Into 2026 Season

The Braves are coming off a year where they missed the MLB playoffs for the first time in seven years.

That said, they still have a very talented roster that could win the NL East.

The franchise last won a World Series Championship in 2021.
