🚨 BOMBSHELL: FUTURE RESHAPED — The Cowboys’ updated 2026 draft picks are revealing a bigger strategy than expected, as early free agency moves quietly reshape their long-term plan and hint at a bold vision taking form in Dallas. 👇👇👇

Dallas has a solid set of picks in next month’s draft.

While the Dallas Cowboys certainly didn’t make as many high-profile signings as some would have liked during the first wave of free agency, their biggest acquisition easily being safety Jalen Thompson, it’s important to remember that Jerry Jones did take care of some in-house business ahead of the big boom, bringing back Javonte Williams on a new three-year deal, while also slapping the franchise tag on George Pickens.

And let’s certainly not forget that the biggest move the Cowboys made on that first day of the legal tampering period last Monday wasn’t a signing but a trade, as Dallas acquired veteran edge rusher Rashan Gary from the Green Bay Packers. And in even better news, Jones didn’t even have to give up a pick in next month’s draft, as he sent Green Bay a fourth-round selection in the 2027 draft.

And just a couple of days later, while it cost the Cowboys a solid player in the process, Jones added a selection to the 2026 draft total, shipping defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a third-rounder, thus replacing the third-rounder he sent to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the deal that brought Pickens to Dallas.

Tack on the pair of compensatory picks the NFL added, and the Cowboys currently have eight picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, including two first-rounders for the first time since 2008.

The Dallas Cowboys currently own eight selections in the 2026 NFL Draft

Here’s a quick look at the full list of the Cowboys’ selections in the 2026 NFL Draft:

  • Round 1: No. 12 overall
  • Round 1: No. 20 overall (from Green Bay Packers)
  • Round 3: No. 92 overall (from San Francisco 49ers)
  • Round 4: No. 112 overall
  • Round 5: No. 152 overall
  • Round 5: No. 177 overall (compensatory selection)
  • Round 5: No. 180 overall (compensatory selection)
  • Round 7: No. 218 overall (from Tennessee Titans)

The reason the Cowboys have two first-rounders, of course, is that in addition to their own selection at No. 12 overall, they received the No. 20 overall pick from the Packers as part of the Micah Parsons trade.

But to kick off Day 2, Dallas has no second-round selection, as that went to the New York Jets in the trade that brought Quinnen Williams to town last November. As mentioned above, the Cowboys were without a third-round pick after trading for Pickens, but got one back at No. 92 overall after shipping Odighizuwa to the 49ers.

To start Day 4, the Cowboys have their own fourth- and fifth-round picks at Nos. 112 and 152 overall, respectively, and were then given the aforementioned pair of compensatory picks at the end of Round 5 at Nos. 177 and 180. But they have no sixth-round selection, as that went to the New York Giants in the Jordan Phillips deal.

And lastly, the Cowboys own the No. 218 overall pick after engaging in a seventh-round pick swap with the Tennessee Titans, who now hold No. 225 as part of the Solomon Thomas trade.
