Travis Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, have a lot to celebrate this offseason.
All eyes are on Travis Kelce this offseason. Not only are fans waiting to find out if he’ll return to the Kansas City Chiefs for another season, but he’s also preparing to marry fiancée, Taylor Swift.
While details surrounding the Kelce/Swift wedding remain under wraps, there was a major update on Kelce’s future in the NFL on February 23. According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the 36-year-old tight end may not be ready to hang up his cleats.
“They have already been in contract talks,” Pelissero said of Kelce and the Chiefs on “The Rich Eisen Show,” before hinting at the couple’s upcoming nuptials.
“It seems like this is trending toward Travis coming back and playing for Kansas City, but nothing is done until it’s done. Obviously, Travis has a lot going on in his life outside of football and decisions to make.”

“He may not have the howitzer anymore in terms of the top-end speed that he did back in the day, but he’s still a functional NFL tight end,” Pelissero continued.
With Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes set to miss the entire offseason, and likely all of training camp due to his ACL and MCL tear rehab, Pelissero added, “If you also don’t have Travis Kelce back, from a leadership perspective, from an offense functioning perspective — it’s going to create some challenges.”
While Kelce mulls over a final decision, he’s spending quality time with Swift. He even helped produce the remix of Swift’s latest single, “Opalite,” which propelled the song to the top of the charts.
Taylor Swift Thanked Her Fans for Boosting ‘Opalite’ to No. 1 on the Billboard Charts
Swift shared her first Instagram post in two weeks to celebrate her latest single bouncing up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. While the billionaire songwriter has broken a long list of records, she was still “blown away” by this latest success.
She wrote, “Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 you guys just got this song!! I can’t even sum up my excitement and I’m so blown away by the love you’ve shown this song and video. To put this into perspective… This is actually the first time I’ve had two Hot 100 #1s off of one album since my album 1989 came out in 2014, nearly twelve years ago!
“I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms. Seriously bouncing off the walls about this!! Just wanted to say THANK YOU, might go buy a giant pretzel at the mall to celebrate, iykyk 🥨🌵🪨.”
Shortly after the remix of “Opalite” dropped, the single earned the biggest pure sales week in the U.S. with 170,000 units. It’s the biggest week for a female artist since “Anti-Hero” in 2022.
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Could Make Their Red Carpet Debut at the Brit Awards
The Sun reported last that Swift arrived in the United Kingdom with “an enormous entourage of more than 20 people.”
“Taylor is hiding out in London at the moment and is scheduled to visit Manchester, which seems like she could be lined up for a surprise appearance at the Brit Awards,” a source told the outlet. “Taylor was handed the Global Icon Award at the ceremony back in 2021 and has a huge amount of respect for the Brits. She loves it.”
If Swift plans to attend the 2026 Brit Awards on February 28, there’s a strong likelihood Kelce accompanies her to the ceremony.
