Braves: MLB Hot Stove primed to explode at Winter Meetings

The Braves offseason is moving at a snail’s pace, but the Hot Stove is primed to explode at the Winter Meetings in Dallas.

According to Ken Rosenthal, Juan Soto is the domino that will have a ripple effect, with his free agency impacting the market for nearly every other available player. That blockbuster deal is looming.

Alden Gonzalaz reports that the overwhelming expectation is that Soto will sign his record-breaking contract before the league departs Dallas next Thursday and could do so before they even arrive.

Alex Anthopoulos in the same building with 29 other GMs with the biggest fish off the board should be music to Braves fans’ ears. It’s setting up to be chaos next week if Soto signs before everyone descends on Dallas.

The Braves have needs all over the roster. The rotation and outfield look like they will be the focal point, but don’t count out an upgrade at shortstop, and the bullpen needs some more bodies as well.
