A timeline has been revealed for when fans can expect a decision regarding MLB star Juan Soto’s future.

After joining the New York Yankees and becoming a vital role to their World Series appearance this year, Soto’s future with the franchise remains in question with other teams hovering over the Bronx for his services.

On Monday, Jon Morosi appeared on the MLB Network’s Hot Stove show and revealed what sources told him regarding the timeline for Soto’s decision.

‘I believe, based on what I’ve been told from sources [in] the last couple days, that we will know where Juan Soto is going within the next ten days,’ he revealed.

‘That would put us somewhere in the middle of next week’s winter medias. On this day next week, we’ll all be in Dallas, covering the industry’s goings-on.

Jon Morosi reported that a decision on Juan Soto’s future will be made within the next 10 days

From what I’ve been able to gather from team side and agents side around the industry, it seems as though Soto has started to narrow down his ideas this week with the potential decision by the time the winter meetings are halfway through next week,’ Morosi added.

Soto arrived in New York after four years with the Washington Nationals and a pitstop with the San Diego Padres from 2022 to 2023.

As a Yankee, the four-time All-Star recorded 41 homeruns, 128 runs, 109 RBI, and finished third in American League MVP voting.

‘That would align, somewhat, with the way things played out in San Diego five years ago when Scott Boras had Stephen Strasburg and Gerrit Cole and Anthony Rendon and [they] all came together in the first part of those meetings, by about the middle part,’ Morosi continued.

On November 26, Morosi’s sources confirmed that Soto has offers from the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Blue Jays.

Reports on Monday suggested that the Red Sox and Mets are the front runners in the Soto sweepstakes.

Soto agreed signed with the Yankees for a record-setting $31million salary for the 2024 season and came within inches to delivering a title to the Big Apple in their first World Series appearance since 2009.
