However, Dotson hasn’t allowed her diagnosis to define her. She remains determined to keep pushing forward, finding strength in the love and support of her family and community. “There were moments when I felt overwhelmed,” she admitted. “But my family, friends, and even my Chiefs family have been such a huge part of my strength. They have been by my side every step of the way, and that’s what keeps me going.”

Despite the odds, Dotson’s focus remains on living each day with a positive outlook, emphasizing the importance of hope in her fight against the disease. “Even though the diagnosis was difficult, I know I’m not alone,” she said. “There is still hope. “It was such an indescribable moment being on the field for their field rehearsal, but then also for the Crucial Catch, the actual game,” Dotson recalled. “To be there as a former Chiefs Cheerleader and as Sabrina Dotson, a current cancer thriver, was such a special experience. It felt like coming full circle, and I was so honored to be part of that moment.”

For Dotson, the opportunity to be back on the field at Arrowhead Stadium while fighting cancer was a reminder of her strength and resilience. “It was a surreal experience,” she said. “Seeing the team play and being part of that energy again was such an uplifting moment.”
