Los Angeles is still rumored to be in on top free agents Corbin Burnes and Juan Soto. The Dodgers are also looked at as a potential landing place for trade candidates like Nolan Arenado of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Arenado may be the best trade fit for the Dodgers, especially if the Cardinals eat a chunk of his deal and move him for a limited prospect haul. Given Arenado’s no-trade clause, he could practically force a trade to where he wants to go.

On Sunday, the Cardinals’ third baseman dropped a major hint that he may be headed back to Southern California. In a recent Instagram post captioned “Offseason Photos.”

Arenado posted 12 pictures.

But attached to the pictures was the song dodger blue by Kendrick Lamar, seemingly pointing to the fact that Arenado is hearing these trade rumors and might not be too upset about it.

Arenado is a five-time silver slugger, a 10-time Gold Glove winner, and an eight-time All-Star.

He has three years and $52 million left on his contract, but the Cardinals would likely need to pay a good chunk of this deal to move the All-Star third baseman.

Arenado grew up a Dodgers fan in Lake Forest, California. Does the song have any meaning to his potential next team or is it just a coincidence? Only time will tell.
