TRADE ALERT: Red Sox, Royals in MAJOR 3-for-1 SWAP! All-Star Outfielder on the Move in Game-Changer..

The Boston Red Sox are reportedly exploring a blockbuster trade that would send All-Star outfielder Jarren Duran to the Kansas City Royals in a massive 3-for-1 deal, according to a proposed package from Just Baseball’s Jordan Leandre.

With a crowded outfield in Boston, the Red Sox have been open to moving Duran — one of the game’s most electric young talents — in exchange for pitching help and high-upside prospects. The Royals, hungry to add a dynamic bat to complement Bobby Witt Jr. at the top of their lineup, have emerged as one of the strongest suitors alongside the San Diego Padres.

Leandre’s proposed trade would send Duran to Kansas City in return for left-handed starter Kris Bubic, catcher Blake Mitchell, and pitching prospect David Shields.

“The prize here is still Bubic,” Leandre wrote. “Despite constant injuries, including one to his rotator cuff that ended his 2025 campaign, this southpaw is a stud. While not in the same way as Crochet, Bubic avoids the barrel, getting opposing hitters to expand the zone and frequently whiff. He’s an expiring contract with injury issues, but he’s a very talented arm.”

For the Royals, landing Duran would give them the impactful left-handed hitter they desperately need to pair with Witt and push their offense to the next level. For the Red Sox, the return would inject a high-ceiling arm in Bubic, a promising young catcher in Mitchell, and additional pitching depth via Shields — a haul designed to accelerate Boston’s long-term goal of building an elite rotation.

While talks remain in the rumor stage, this proposed 3-for-1 swap has the potential to reshape both franchises and could signal the start of a busy trade season. Stay tuned — a deal of this magnitude would be an absolute game-changer.
