PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers got great injury news after Saturday’s practice, as no one on the 53-man roster as an injury status before their game against the Houston Texans.
That means that all members on the 53-man roster will play. Coming into the week, that was largely expected, as head coach Mike Tomlin said did not name anyone before the week on the injury report.
Only two players of note popped up with any concern. Tight end Jonnu Smith battled a glute injury that forced him to be limited on Friday, but he was bumped back up a full participant on Saturday.
Running back Jaylen Warren missed Thursday’s practice with an illness, but practiced fully the last two days of the week. As a result, both do not have any injury worries this weekend.
The one player who did have a status was defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk. Loudermilk’s 21-day window came open this week after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2. He logged two limited practices, but it will likely be another week before a return would make sense.
If the Steelers can win on Monday against the Texans, Loudermilk might return for a divisional round game, which would help boost the defensive line depth.
