Chiefs Make Roster Announcement One Day Before Raiders Game

The Kansas City Chiefs got some good news ahead of their Black Friday football game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Kansas City dropped a roster update on Thursday, announcing that both running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu have been activated from the injured reserve list.

Pacheco has been out since suffering a fractured fibula in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. His target return had always been late November, though the Chiefs designated him for return on Nov. 17, ahead of their Week 11 game. Regardless, with Pacheco now activated, he’s expected to make his return to the field when the Chiefs take on the Raiders. The 25-year-old RB is expected to add extra firepower to a Chiefs roster that has lost a number of its offensive playmakers throughout the season.

Kansas City wide receivers Rashee Rice (knee), Skyy Moore (core muscle) and Hollywood Brown (shoulder) have all been placed on the injured reserve for various health issues. We have activated DE Charles Omenihu and RB Isiah Pacheco from Reserve/Injured.

The 27-year-old DE, who signed a two-year deal with the Chiefs in 2023, should give the Kansas City defense a huge boost. After all, in the 11 games he played last season, he tallied seven sacks, five tackles for loss and 11 QB hits.

It remains to be seen how big of a role both Isiah Pacheco and Charles Omenihu will have in their return. Nonetheless, it’s certainly great to see the Chiefs becoming healthier as the season winds down and the postseason nears.
