SAD NEWS: ‘STILL A SHOCK’ Rising football star, 16, killed in horror car crash with family as church is left ‘heartbroken’
His high school football team have already commemorated the star
TRIBUTES are pouring in as a rising high school football star is killed in a car crash.
The high school football player was traveling with his family at the time of the incident.

High school star Brian Moss has died after a horror collision in Florida.
Moss was a student at Viera High School in Brevard County, Florida.
He was a 16-year-old freshman.
It has been reported by local newspaper Viera Voice that Moss was involved in the incident on the evening of December 23.
The football star was driving home from an event in DeLand, Florida, with his family.
Information on Moss’ death was released a day later on Christmas Eve.
A church that the Moss family attends has paid tribute to the rising star.
“The Moss family was in a car accident and tragically, Brian Moss has passed away due to injuries he sustained in the accident,” the Church at Viera said in a statement.
“Our church family is heartbroken over Brian’s death and we are holding you, his family, and his friends close in our prayers today.”
It has been reported by Florida Today that Moss’ mother was set to play a key role in the church’s Christmas festivities.
She was set to sing at the church’s Christmas Eve service.
Moss’ high school football coach Tony Gulla has explained the impact of the loss on the Viera Hawks.
“This is a tough loss. He was a great kid and an excellent student,” Gulla said. “We spoke as a team. Some kids took it real hard. Some kids were crying.
“Some kids didn’t even know about it, so it was a shock. And it’s still a shock until it sets in. They’re not going to realize the significance of it until we get to the memorial service.”
Coach Gulla has praised the player’s commitment and speed.
Gulla also explained that Moss was set to become the team’s starting cornerback next year after a standout season.
Moss had been named the Varsity Specialty Player of the Year just a week before his death.
The coach opted to hold the team’s scheduled workout with the team doing 34 pushups to commemorate Moss’ jersey number.
