IT’S OFFICIAL: James Cook set up to break 49-year franchise history drought in Week 18
Tomorrow afternoon, the Buffalo Bills will take the field in what could be the final time playing in the old Highmark Stadium. Wearing their throwback red helmets, Buffalo will take the field to host the New York Jets before they start to prepare for the playoffs.
Buffalo gave the Jets a 30-10 beatdown in Week 2 where the Bills’ defense only gave up 154 total yards…kind of surprising seeing as how Buffalo’s defense has performed all season long.

While the Jets have usual given Buffalo a lot of trouble, the Bills should be able to handle the Jets easily even if they don’t play their starters from start to finish.
A starter that the Bills will have to decide on how much they want him to play is running back James Cook. There have been time this season where Cook was Buffalo’s main reason why they won games. While Buffalo should be careful of how much Cook plays, there is another factor that they will have to decide.
James Cook set to do something that hasn’t been done since 1976
According to the Buffalo Bills’ PR team, the last Bill to lead the NFL in rushing yards was O.J. Simpson back in 1976 with 1,503 yards. Heading into today’s game, Cook leads the NFL in rushing with 1,606 yards. Behind him is Jonathan Taylor (1,559 yards) and Derrick Henry (1,469 yards).
Don’t get me wrong, having Cook fully healthy for the playoffs is more important than being the top rusher in the league. At the same time, this would be such an amazing finish to the regular season for Cook, who was signed to an extension in the summer and overcoming all the doubts about him getting the extension.
In addition to this milestone, Cook can also tie Thurman Thomas for the most 100+ scrimmage yard games in a season in team history. He currently has 12 of those games.
IT’S OVER FOR THE JETS! The Bills’ Final Form is OFFICIALLY ONLINE! These two call-ups aren’t just players, they’re CHEAT CODES!
Buckle up, Bills Mafia! The regular season finale is upon us, and the Buffalo Bills are unleashing their ultimate weapon against the hapless New York Jets. With the playoffs on the horizon and a dominant 11-5 record already locked in, the Bills are treating this Week 18 clash like a victory lap – but one that’s about to turn into a total demolition derby. Enter the two gameday elevations that have fans buzzing: veteran beast Matthew Judon and rookie phenom Keonta Jenkins. These aren’t just roster tweaks; they’re straight-up cheat codes designed to crush the Jets’ already flickering hopes.
Let’s break it down, because this isn’t your average call-up story. The Bills (11-5) are hosting the Jets (3-13) at Highmark Stadium for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, and with multiple starters getting a well-deserved breather, Judon and Jenkins are primed to steal the show. Buffalo’s defense is already a force, but adding these two? It’s like giving Josh Allen an extra arm – unnecessary, but oh-so-devastating for the opposition.

Matthew Judon: The Veteran Predator Ready to Feast
First up, the headliner: Matthew Judon, a four-time Pro Bowl selection who’s been lurking on the practice squad since signing on December 20. Waived by the Miami Dolphins after 13 games this season, Judon is no stranger to wrecking quarterbacks’ days. This 33-year-old edge rusher racked up a whopping 28.0 sacks in just two seasons with the New England Patriots, and his career totals? 72.0 sacks and nine forced fumbles over 10 NFL campaigns. The guy started as a fifth-round pick with the Baltimore Ravens and evolved into a certified nightmare for offenses.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott couldn’t hide his excitement earlier this week: “Small window of a sample, but he’s been pleasant to have around. Professional in his approach, and he’s done a good job working with the scout team in the limited time that we’ve had him here.” Translation? Judon’s been quietly sharpening his claws, and now he’s debuting in what could be the last game ever at Highmark Stadium. Against the Jets? It’s poetic justice – remember that time he sacked Zach Wilson for a safety back in 2023? Yeah, expect more of that chaos.
With starters like Terrel Bernard and DaQuan Jones sidelined by injuries, and Joey Bosa questionable with a hamstring tweak, Judon’s experience is the perfect plug-and-play. He’s not just filling gaps; he’s about to turn the Jets’ offensive line into Swiss cheese. Cheat code activated: Infinite pressure mode.
Keonta Jenkins: The Rookie Rocket Launching into Stardom
Don’t sleep on the underdog story here – undrafted rookie linebacker Keonta Jenkins is the spark that’s going to ignite this defense. A Virginia Tech product, Jenkins turned heads during training camp, earning rave reviews from Bills brass before landing on the practice squad. He even made his NFL debut against… you guessed it, the Jets back in Weeks 2 and 3, where he contributed on special teams before a minor injury setback.
Now fully healthy, Jenkins is back and ready to roam. This kid’s got speed, instincts, and that raw hunger only rookies bring. With Bernard out, expect Jenkins to see serious reps in the middle of the field, plugging run lanes and dropping into coverage like he’s been doing it for years. It’s no coincidence the Bills elevated him again for this matchup – they’re building for the future while dominating the present.
Why This Spells Doom for the Jets
The Jets are limping into Orchard Park with a dismal 3-13 record, their season long since circling the drain. Facing a Bills team that’s resting stars but still stacking the deck with Judon and Jenkins? It’s over before it starts. Buffalo’s defense, already one of the league’s stingiest, gets an injection of veteran savvy and youthful fire. Josh Allen and the offense can cruise, knowing the D has cheat codes to handle any Jets’ desperation heaves.
This isn’t just a game; it’s a statement. The Bills’ final form is online, fully powered up for the playoffs. Jets fans, avert your eyes – it’s about to get ugly.
Stay tuned for post-game fireworks, Bills Mafia. Let’s send Highmark Stadium out with a bang! #BillsMafia #GoBills
