🚨 INSIDE FAMILY VOICE: Micah Parsons’ father unexpectedly weighed in on the injured Packers superstar’s projected return timeline, and his candid remarks instantly sparked speculation across the league. What he suggested goes beyond a simple recovery update and may quietly reshape expectations for Green Bay far sooner than fans are prepared for.

Micah Parsons has a long road to recovery after suffering a torn ACL in the Green Bay Packers’ Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Depending on the severity and recovery process, it can take anywhere from nine months to a year to recover from such an injury.

That means Parsons is now in danger of not being ready for the start of the 2026 season, which is a little less than nine months away.

“I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season,” Parsons said in a statement Monday. “I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again.”

If Parsons comes back on the longer end of that timeline, he could be out until next December, although with how much better ACL surgery has gotten over the years, we’d anticipate him being back well before that, barring any setbacks.

Parsons’ dad, Terrence, has weighed in on when he thinks Micah will be back and he believes it’ll be by October.

“I honestly believe he will play playing by October,” Parsons said. “Off [physically unable to perform] list Week 1.”

Of course, Parsons will land on the PUP list next offseason and will almost certainly remain on it through the start of the season, barring a faster-than-expected recovery.

Parsons first has to be designated to return from the list, which will give the Packers 21 days to activate him or else he would have to miss the remainder of the season.

We would expect Parsons will need at least a week or two of that 21-day window to get fully acclimated, so a late September, early October return is definitely possible.

Of course, that doesn’t do anything for the Packers this season, as Green Bay will now have to navigate its playoff push and potential postseason trip without its best defender.
