The Kansas City Chiefs have their backs against the wall as they are heading into their Week 15 game at home against the Los Angeles Chargers. They have been battling inconsistencies and injuries throughout the season, but they will be without one of their key players for this game. Let’s take a deeper dive into who it is and what this means for the Kansas City Chiefs’ chances for victory.
Kansas City Chiefs Will Be Without Hollywood Brown in Week 15

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be without a handful of key players heading into Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers. We already knew about the extensive offensive linemen injuries, but coach Andy Reid revealed on Friday that wide receiver Hollywood Brown will miss this game due to a personal matter. Brown has been one of the top receivers on the roster as he has recorded 42 receptions on 62 targets for 494 yards (11.8 yards per catch) with five touchdown receptions.
This means the only healthy wide receivers that are on the 53-man roster are: Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, and Jalen Royals. Brown has the third-highest receiving yards on the team, trailing only Travis Kelce (727) and Rice (520). This is going to be an advantage for the Chargers’ secondary, who will have a lesser wide receiver in the starting lineup when the Chiefs run three wide receiver sets.
With the Kansas City Chiefs needing this win in order to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, it will be intriguing to see how the team is able to do offensively without one of their top playmakers on the field.
