Packers wide receiver Christian Watson cemented his status as Jordan Love’s favorite target in Sunday’s 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears.
Green Bay’s victory propelled head coach Matt LaFleur’s club into the NFC North Division lead, bolstering the Packers’ chances of securing homefield advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs.
Sunday afternoon, wide receiver Christian Watson was the spark that ignited Green Bay’s offense.

Watson’s speed was a big difference for Love and the Packers’ offense as the focal point of Green Bay’s passing game in a win over Chicago.
After catching four passes for 89 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Pro Football Focus lists Watson as the Packers’ highest-graded player from Sunday’s game.
“It means a lot to me for sure. Honestly, I tried not to think about it that much, but as the game was kind of getting going, it was definitely creeping in my mind a little bit,” Watson said of last season’s injury, via Dominique Yates of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I’m just so thankful and blessed to be able to do what I do, and I’m glad today panned out how it did.”
Sunday was a bit of a glimpse of not only what Green Bay’s offense can look like when it’s clicking on all cylinders, but when all cylinders are in action, because first-round rookie Matthew Golden has yet to make a consistent impact. Once he does, alongside Watson, this vertical passing attack could be lethal for Green Bay.
