🛑 ALERT: Cowboys Receive Positive Update on CeeDee Lamb’s Concussion – Is He Ready to Return Soon?

The Dallas Cowboys were without star receiver CeeDee Lamb for the second half of Thursday night’s 44-30 loss to the Lions.

And while his third quarter concussion didn’t stop the four-time Pro Bowler from leading the team in receiving yards (six catches for 121 yards), it did knock him out for the final 28 minutes of a game that Dallas desperately needed to remain in the NFC playoff picture.

Now as the team prepares to take on the Minnesota Vikings on “Sunday Night Football” after the mini bye, there’s appears to be some positive momentum towards the Cowboys star wideout coming back.

Dallas Cowboys announce update on CeeDee Lamb

Thursday night’s game offered a scary moment for the 26-year-old All-Pro (whose already dealt with a number of injuries this season) after falling on his head in the end zone with 12:42 left in the third quarter.

Lamb was immediately removed and ruled out of the game once he was able to be looked at by the team’s training staff. But everything out of Dallas seems to point towards CeeDee’s condition improving as he goes through the league’s concussion protocol — something that head coach Brian Schottenheimer reiterated on Monday.

“He’s doing good,” Schottenheimer said, via Cowboys.com. “Talked to him over the weekend. He’s progressing nicely, and hopefully things work out like we expect.”

Cowboys dealing with other injuries as well

Outside of CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys are also keeping an eye on the statuses of defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and left tackle Tyler Guyton who both missed last week’s game against the Lions with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively.

“We will find out a little bit more over the next two days, 48 hours,” Schottenheimer said of Clowney and Guyton’s availability for Sunday night.

At 6-6-1 Dallas sits in second place in the NFC East but 10th in the conference playoff race behind the Lions and Panthers for teams still in the mix.

There’s certainly come ground that can be made up over the season’s last month with games against the Vikes, Chargers, Commanders and Giants to end the year. But that task would be made a lot harder without Lamb in the lineup.
